Facebook marketing

A business page you actually control, and ads aimed at the people you want to reach.

What I help with

Facebook can bring in real customers, but it’s easy to get lost in its menus. I’ll set it up, and I’ll walk you through the parts you need.

  • Facebook business pages
  • Facebook ads, including the ad designs
  • Sharing what’s on your website to Facebook
  • Walking you through it on the phone

I’m based in Troy and can help businesses anywhere, since all of this can be done remotely.

We talk through who your customers are and whether Facebook is likely to reach them. If it isn’t, I’ll say so.

Quoted for your business

Make sure the page is really yours

It’s common for a business page to be tied to someone else’s account: a relative, a former employee, or whoever set it up years ago. That can leave you unable to change your own page or run ads from it.

So I start by checking who controls your page, and getting it under your control if I can. It’s worth sorting out before you put any money into it.

Posts or ads?

Posts are free, and they show people you’re open and doing good work. They mostly reach people who already know you.

Ads reach new people in the area you choose. You pay for them, so I’ll keep an eye on what they actually bring in.

Most small businesses need a little of both. I’ll tell you what’s worth your time and what isn’t.

I design the ads too

You don’t need a designer or a separate copywriter. I’ll create the ad images and write the wording, using your real photos if you have them, and show you before anything runs.

A good ad makes one clear offer to one kind of customer, and makes it obvious what to do next. Someone scrolling past should be able to get it in a couple of seconds.

Questions people ask

Can’t I just press “Boost Post”?

You can, and it’s simple. It also gives you fewer choices about who sees the ad and what it’s meant to do. For anything beyond a small test, it’s usually worth setting up a proper ad.

Do I have to post every day?

No. Posting regularly with something real, like a finished job or a new product, is better than filling the page with posts nobody wants.

I got a message saying my page will be deleted. Is it real?

Be careful. Fake messages like that are a common way to steal Facebook logins. Don’t click the link or type your password. Call me, and we’ll check it together.
